Croc Bin pole bracket

We have a thing called a Croc Bin that we use when camping for rubbish. It is designed to use a"U" bracket to six it to a tent pole or use the included plastic wedge bracket that is screwed to a flat surface.
The flat surface we have for the plastic bracket is on the end of our roll out kitchen unit and is to low for a rubbish bag.   ( animals etc!)
For many years we have used the"U" bolt to attach it to the annex pole and I have always thought the had to be a better and more convenient way. While the bin is not heavy, it is awkward to attach to the pole with the weight acting against you while trying to fix the "U" bracket. .

I set about thinking how I could use the supplied plastic wedge bracket and came up with screwing it a block of wood that was then attached to the pole.  While this worked,  it was just as fiddly, so back to the drawing board.   What I wanted was a quick and easy method of fixing the bracket to the annex pole.
I have previously made a clothes hanger bracket that clips onto a pole and thought maybe something like that. The plastic bracket is 105mm square,  so the manufactured clip type bracket had to be suitable for that.
I set about sketching a few ideas.

The end result is a bracket that "wraps" around the pole and is then secured with a bolt and thread as on a tent pole.
